A single XSLT stylesheet, that is, a single programming effort, allows to generate reports in all the following formats: PDF, PostScript©, RTF (can be opened in Word 2000+), WordprocessingML (can be opened in Word 2003+), Office Open XML (.docx, can be opened in Word 2007+), OpenOffice (.odt, can be opened in OpenOffice.org 2+).

Use XQuery, XQuery Update, XQuery Full-Text to easily store, index and search your XML data.

XMLmind XML Editor v5.1.1 (January 10, 2012): Allows to convert DocBook and DITA documents to Web Help. Several minor, yet useful, enhancements.
Qizx 4.4 released (December 23, 2011): Incremental backup, optimizations, bug fixes.
XMLmind XSL-FO Converter v4.6 (December 15, 2011): Highlights:
  • New extension attribute xfc:outline-level may be used to mark a fo:block as a heading having an outline level. (Specifying outline levels allow, for example, to use the Document Map and the Outline View in MS-Word.)
  • XMLmind XSL Utility and XMLmind XSL Server can now convert DITA documents to Web Help.
  • Several minor enhancements. A few bug fixes.
XMLmind DITA Converter v2.1.0_01 (December 15, 2011): If you have XMLmind XSL-FO Converter v4.6+, XMLmind DITA Converter will now automatically generate outline levels for the RTF, WordprocessingML, Office Open XML (.docx), OpenOffice (.odt) output formats.
XMLmind XML Editor v5.1 (November 15, 2011): The new Compare tool will show you the differences existing between two revisions of the same initial document. This tool also allows to accept or reject some or all the changes.

The new Tools|Remark menu should be handy to use if you have to review or comment documents.

  • Qizx Server: admin facilities, caches, XQuery WebApps.

XMLmind XML Editor v5 (September 29, 2011): XMLmind XML Editor v5 aims to be a good tool for authoring highly modular documents: DITA maps, today's DocBook modular books and tomorrow's DocBook 5.1 assemblies, Web sites comprising a large number of XHTML pages, etc.

In order to attain this goal, we have added 3 new interactive tools to XXE: the "Browse Files" tool, the "Search Files" tool and the "Document Set" tool.

These new tools are showcased in "XMLmind XML Editor v5 Primer" (which includes a 3:30 screencast). Moreover, the "Document Set" tool has a lesson of its own in our tutorial.

XMLmind XSL-FO Converter v4.5.0_01 (July 22, 2011): XMLmind XSL Utility and XMLmind XSL Server have been patched in order to integrate XMLmind DITA Converter (ditac) v2.0.4. This release of ditac contains a number of bug fixes.
Updated XMLmind XML Editor tutorial (June 20, 2011): Added 3 new lessons: Automating repetitive tasks by recording macros. Custom keyboard shortcuts. Easily create DocBook olinks.
XMLmind XML Editor v4.9.1 (June 15, 2011): A polished v4.9. Also contains several useful enhancements, mainly related to the support of XHTML, as well as important bug fixes.
Qizx 4.2 released (June 7, 2011): Optimizations, semi-structured content import, EXPath...
XMLmind XSL-FO Converter v4.5 (June 3, 2011): Highlights:
  • Images are now represented by DrawingML elements in OOXML (.docx) files.
  • When the heuristics used by XFC are insufficient to infer the type of a list, it's now possible to explicitly specify this type by adding an xfc:label-format proprietary attribute to the fo:list-block.
  • Added support for scale-down-to-fit and scale-up-to-fit.
