Q: I have XMLmind Spell Checker Web Edition version 1.2 and would like to upgrade to version 1.3. I no longer find references to this product on your Web site. The whole Web site seems to be about XMLmind Spell Checker SDK. What happened to Web Edition and how can I upgrade to version 1.3? A: We are sorry but the Web Edition product line has been discontinued. Therefore, you cannot upgrade products "XMLmind Spell Checker Web Edition - Single Server" (reference sc-cs) or "XMLmind Spell Checker Web Edition - Unrestricted Use" (reference sc-csp) to version 1.3. Q: The Web Edition product line has been discontinued. Does this mean that, in the near future, you may also discontinue the SDK product line? A: No. XMLmind Spell Checker SDK is needed to implement XMLmind XML Editor, our flagship product. This means that, if one day, we decided to stop maintaining and enhancing the SDK and its dictionaries, we would receive complains from our XML Editor customers. Q: Three developers are working on a project which uses the XMLmind Spell Checker engine. Do we need to purchase three SDK licenses? A: The answer is probably no. Generally, in a small programming team, you'll have just a single programmer who will work on integrating XMLmind Spell Checker into the application being developed. This programmer will quickly become the ``XMLmind Spell Checker specialist'' and other programmers will delegate to him all tasks related to XMLmind Spell Checker. Q: What is the size of your dictionaries? A: See the table below:
Q: What country variants do you support for the English, French, German and Spanish languages? A: See the above table. Q: Is your German dictionary compliant with the German spelling reform? A: As of version 1.3, German dictionary de.dar is supposed to only contain words compliant with the German spelling reform. Alternate German dictionary de-alt.dar has been created for those who still need to use the traditional spelling.
