running on Linux.)
DescriptionXMLmind Spell Checker is a
Software Development Kit (SDK) designed to add spell-checking
functionalities in JavaTM applications, with or
without graphical user interface. The license allows a royalty-free
redistribution of the spell checker's binary classes and dictionaries
bundled in applications. Features- The SDK includes ready-to-use Swing GUI components. It features
real-time spell-checking as text is edited.
- Very easy integration with Swing text components: one line of code for a
spell-checking popup dialog, one line of code for
real-time checking.
- Supports Java Web StartTM.
- Three sample applications with source code, including XSpell, the
Swing application shown in the above screenshot.
- Four dictionaries included: English/American, German, French,
Spanish.
- The Dictionary Builder can be used
to modify these dictionaries or to create new dictionaries.
LicensesNote that the licenses below are
per-developer licences. For example, if you have 3 developers
working on integrating XMLmind Spell Checker in your product, then you need
to purchase 3 licenses. | Product | Licence | Description | Content of the distribution |
|---|
sc-sdk | SDK License | Gives you the right to redistribute XMLmind Spell Checker
binary classes and dictionaries with the Java applications you
have developed. Once this license has been purchased, no
royalties or runtime fees are due. | - The spell checker engine xsc.jar.
- Our four dictionaries: en.dar, de.dar,
fr.dar, es.dar plus dicts.dar an all-in-one
dictionary.
- Source code of three sample applications, including
XSpell.
- Documentation.
| sc-sdkp | SDK License | Same as sc-sdk | sc-sdk distribution + the full source code of the
SDK. |
Why purchase the source
code of the SDK?- There is not much difference in terms of price between product
sc-sdk and product sc-sdkp. See price list.
- The source code is the ultimate documentation of the product.
True, when a product is coded in C or in assembly language, the
source code is not of much help. But XMLmind Spell Checker is coded in
easy to read, easy to understand, JavaTM and
its source code is fully written in English. - Unless you use the XMLmind Spell Checker SDK at a very high level
(one-liners) or, on the
contrary, at a rather low level (SpellChecker),
you'll almost certainly find the source code of our Swing components (JSpellDialog,
JSpellComponent,
etc) extremely useful.
Support- Free access to new releases for one year.
- Unlimited e-mail support for 3 months from date of purchase.
- Support mailing-lists
available.
