Choosing a license

Qizx's liberal licenses cover all possible needs:

1. Server License (code qze-srv): use on one host machine.
2. Site License (code qze-site): use on any number of host machines in the same geographical site.
3. Developer License (code qze-dev): unobstructed deployment of your applications or products, no royalties or runtime fees.

Which license?

You develop in-house software for your company or organization:

1. Qizx will be part of a server application:

   1. This application will run on a small number of host machines located at the same site:

      You need one qze-srv per host machine, each production or test server counting as a host.

   2. This application will run on a large or undetermined number of host machines located at the same site:

      You need qze-site.

   3. This application will run on host machines located at different sites:

      You need qze-dev as the license of this product imposes no restrictions on the deployment of applications including Qizx.

2. Qizx will be part of a desktop application:

   You need qze-dev as the license of this product imposes no restrictions on the deployment of applications including Qizx.

You are a system integrator or consultant building an IT solution for your customer:

1. Qizx will be part of a server application:

   1. This application will run on a small number of host machines located at the same site:

      Your customer will have to purchase one qze-srv per host machine, each production or test server counting as a host.

   2. This application will run on a large or undetermined number of host machines located at the same site:

      Your customer will have to purchase qze-site.

   3. This application will run on host machines located at different sites:

      You need qze-dev as the license of this product imposes no restrictions on the deployment of applications including Qizx. Note that you have the choice: purchase the license for you (which allows you to use Qizx in other projects), or let your customer purchase it.
