| Download Qizx/openQizx/open was the first version of Qizx and has been available as an open-source product since 2003. QIzx/open fully implements the XML Query language, but it is fairly different than Qizx in terms of XML data access: basically it has no persistent store and no indexing capabilities, therefore it must always parse XML documents into memory before querying and processing. Qizx/open should not be regarded as a database engine, but simply as an XML Query interpreter. See the product comparison table. Yet once documents are loaded, Qizx/open can be quite fast for querying on medium size XML collections as shown in this benchmark. Qizx/open is licensed under the Mozilla Public License. It is maintained in parallel with Qizx.
