Qizx Free Engine Edition
Qizx Free Edition has all the functionalities of the full Qizx product, but a few performance limitations listed below.
The limitations can be temporarily removed by requesting an evaluation license key, valid for 21 days. If you wish to renew the evaluation period, please contact us.
This Free Edition may be used for:
Getting acquainted with XQuery and a state-of-art XML database engine.
Evaluation of the Qizx product.
Development and prototyping:
Qizx Free Engine may be installed on a development machine (in compliance with license), while a paid-for Qizx product has to be installed on production machines.
Limitations (in absence of a valid evaluation key):
the total size of indexed XML documents is limited to 1000 Megabytes.
Note: this size limit is an estimation based on internal storage, not on source XML (the actual limit may depend on many factors such as the density of XML tags and their length).
- Queries can be executed by only one thread at a time.
Note: these limitations may change in future versions without prior notice.
License
Free Engine's license allows installing on one host. Redistribution and integration in commercial products are not permitted.

Support for the Free Engine edition is limited to bug reports and requests for enhancement.
Support for questions about use of API, XQuery and extensions, optimization will be provided only to holders of a commercial license.
