Qizx/db Free Engine

Qizx/db Free Engine is a free version of Qizx/db available from this page.

Functionalities

Qizx/db Free Engine has all the functionalities of the full Qizx/db product, with the only restriction that the total size of databases is limited to 1 gigabyte.

The limit can be temporarily removed by requesting an evaluation license key, valid for 21 days.

This free edition may be used to:

• Get acquainted with XML databases and XQuery.
• Evaluate the Qizx/db product.
• Develop for the Qizx/db product. That is, install Qizx/db Free Engine on development machines and install the Qizx/db product on production machines.
• Integrate a fast and lightweight XML database engine natively supporting XQuery in your in-house application. Yes, if you can live with the limited database size and the limited support (see below), you are welcome to use Qizx/db Free Engine for production.

License

Free Engine's license allows installing on one host. Redistribution and integration in commercial products are prohibited. See the detailed license here.

Support

Support of the Free Engine edition is limited to bug reports and requests for enhancement. Questions about use of API, XQuery and extensions will be answered only to holders of a commercial license.
