Forthcoming developments include XQuery Update, a server edition, a new connectivity to SQL relational databases, and even further optimizations. Qizx/db Free Engine is a free edition of Qizx/db with a limited database size of one gigabyte. Qizx/open, the open-source version of Qizx, is also available here and will be maintained by XMLmind.
