Converter is available as three, stand-alone, software distributions. In
principle, each distribution serves a different purpose and hence targets a
different audience. However feel free to download all the three
distributions if you want. - The XMLmind XSL-FO Converter engine.
This distribution
contains low-level command-line tools, some technical documentation, a class
library (xfc.jar or xfc.dll). This distribution is
available in a JavaTM version (xfc.jar) or in a .NET
version (xfc.dll). This distribution targets the
JavaTM or .NET developer and the system integrator. - XMLmind XSL Utility.
This
distribution contains XMLmind XSL Utility, a user-friendly, desktop
application. Out of the box, it allows to convert DocBook 4 and 5
and XHTML documents to PDF, RTF (can be opened in Word
2000+), WordprocessingML (can be opened in Word
2003+), Office Open XML (.docx, can be opened in
Word 2007+) and OpenOffice (.odt, can be opened
in OpenOffice/LibreOffice 2+) formats. DITA 1.0, 1.1 and
1.2 documents can be converted to even more formats: XHTML 1.0, XHTML
1.1, HTML 4.01, XHTML 5, Web Help, JavaTM Help, HTML Help,
Eclipse Help, EPUB 2, EPUB 3, PDF, RTF, WordprocessingML, Office Open
XML, OpenDocument. This distribution targets the
end-user. - XMLmind XSL Server.
This
distribution contains XMLmind XSL Server, a powerful,
production-quality, Servlet which
leverages the XSL technology
to allow converting XML documents to a variety of formats. This
distribution targets the Web developer (JavaScript, Ajax, PHP,
etc) and the system integrator.
